Newcomb College forum

Hi everyone! This is Julie Gomez. I work(ed) for the Dean of Newcomb College at Tulane University in New Orleans. I've created this blog as way for all of us affiliated with Newcomb College of Tulane University to reach each other. Please spread the word and use this as a source of information for Newcomb College. Please keep the information concise. The blog will continue to be updated.

From Cynthia Lowenthal, Dean of Newcomb College

Dear Newcomb family,
It's Cynthia Lowenthal, Dean of Newcomb College. My deepest thanks to Julie Gomez for setting up this blog. Now we can all stay in touch much more easily! If you find this blog, please let us know where you are and that you're safe.

I evacuated safely to family and can be reached at I have also heard, thank goodness, from many Newcomb staff members. Jan and Cindy are both in good condition----Cindy in Alabama, and Jan on her way to Houston. Graci and family are on their way to Florida. Erik is heading to Maryland (I am told), Tom is off to North Caroline, and Beth was headed to Dallas. As you can see from other postings, Julie, Margarita, Katie, and Sarah have reached safe places. Erin, glad to hear you're in Houston.

I'm sorry that I have no additional offical information to share with you yet. If I hear anything new, I will post.

Please do the same. Please be careful and stay in touch.
More to come,CL
